Wow I made my way to the world famous Okavango Delta in Botswana. A long time already I had the dream to stand there and see the bush in middle of a swamp area with many little streams and lakes in between. The Delta is fed by the Kavango River, which flows from the highlands of Angola, across Namibia’s Caprivi Strip and into the harsh Kalahari Desert. Since 2014 the Delta is on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
First time in my life I saw a real crocodile, swimming not recommended!
It was a great feeling to stay far away from civilisation in middle of the delta. Another good thing of the little platform was to be safe from crocs 😉
The hippos did not like it too much, that some tourists interrupted them in their territory!
But no worries we arrived safe back at the camp. The next morning I got up early to enjoy sunrise over the delta.
Fresh brewed coffee and pure nature, what more can you dream of?
